You can test the EAS Buddy Box V3 by simply starting the vehicle and plugging the EAS Buddy Box into the OBDII port. The EAS Buddy Box V3 will cycle through the communications sequence and attempt to clear the EAS Fault. You can tell that the unit is working if you see the RED / Blue / Green LED patterns.

The EAS Buddy Box V3 has two disctinctly different LED patterns. The first pattern indicates the OBDII communications sequence. The second sequence is the USB communications sequence. It is important to notice the difference. Specifically, it is important to note if the EAS Buddy V3 displays the USB LED pattern when plugged into the Rover.
